Discipleship is an intentional, relational process of growth which begins at salvation. CBC helps you grow holistically – body, soul, and spirit - through real-life discipleship. Holistic Growth is helping people experience transformation in themselves completely.
Our church is built around disciple-making. We believe you are not a disciple, until you have made a disciple, who makes a disciple. Therefore, everything we do is to progress our church to become real-life disciple-makers. Sunday morning worship & monthly outreaches are all geared to helping people grow into becoming disciple-makers.
Relationships are key to discipleship, but relationships by themselves is not discipleship. We seek to create authentic community which teach God's Word, care for one another & provide a safe place for transparency & accountability.
We follow an intentional, relational & repeatable process of making disciple-makers. We follow Jesus example in scripture. He said, "Come with me & I will make you fishers of men."
Share. Connect. Serve. Grow.
REAL-LIFE DISCIPLE-MAKING CHURCH
We are a real-life discipling making church. Authentic discipleship happens life-on-life in two types of groups called Meet-Ups & Community Life Groups. These are more than just Bible Studies. Life is shared together.
A Meet-Up is anytime a minimum of two people get together for 90 minutes, for the purpose of intentional growing through discipleship. Meet-ups: Look-Back at their spiritual growth from the weeks before, Look-Up to God through Christ-centered Bible study & Look Forward by setting goals base on what they have learned. Find a Meet-Up below.
COMMUNITY LIFE GROUPS
Community Life Groups (CLG) are small community groups of four to twelve people who meet weekly for real-life discipleship. CLG create a space for holistic growth to take place in the contest of community.
Meet-up. CLG. Be Discipled. Make Disciples.
At CBC, we believe you are not really a disciple until you've made a disciple who makes a disciple. We've all got to start somewhere. We understand we are all on a spiritual journey and can find ourselves somewhere in one of these FOUR different stages. Stages allows anyone to find where they are on their journey and move forward.
Some of us are SEEKERS who are curious about who Jesus really is. Is this guy really who he claims to be? We say this person is a seeker and is hungry for Jesus. When a seeker connects with Jesus, places his or her faith in him and surrenders to Jesus as Lord of their life, we say this person is a BELIEVER in Jesus who needs to be feed. The third stage is a DISCIPLE who has been discipled as a believer for sometime, has been baptized as a believer and is able to feed themselves and grow through personal worship and bible study. The four stage is DISCIPLE MAKER. This is a person who has learned to not only feed themselves, but also can feed others and mentor them to not only grow as a Christian, but to show them how to make disciples themselves. We seek to be a church that makes disciples who make disciples.
At CBC, we believe everyone should be in a discipleship relationship with someone who is a little further along in their Christian journey. We like to create triads that include a disciple maker, a disciple and a believer or a seeker. You can be placed in a Discipleship Triad by filling out the Discipleship Stages Self-Assessment.
