52% of the population of Toronto is born outside the country. This makes it truly a country of immigrants. We partner with a local urban church plant in downtown Toronto called Rendezvous Church. We have committed to pray for the church plant, send annual mission teams and provide monthly financial support.
CBC Students are heading to Toronto this summer to volunteer at Rendezvous church and hold a free bike repair clinic in Yonge-Dundas Square and in Parkdale. Check out photos of last years mission by clicking the photo above.
We are all called to go on mission. For those unable to go, you can still support from home.
“Students for Hire” November-May Need some help with your yard or around your house? You set the price and make a dona on. All proceeds you donate go to support Toronto Mission.
Yard Sale, March 23-24 We will be collecting items for the sale. We can pick items up or you can drop them of at the church.
Spaghetti Lunch, April 29, 2018 We will hold a sit down meal at the church, a great opportunity for community fellowship. Tickets will be sold at the yard sale and after worship.
Pray Commit to pray for a single member, or the whole team. Make sure to let us know if you are praying for us, it is a great source of encouragement as very much appreciated!
Ways to pray Reach financial goal, safe travels, team unity and fluidity, the people of Toronto, the people we will meet and Rendezvous Church. Ask the team for any more prayer concerns.
Donate Checks payable to CBC, designate Toronto Missions in the Memo. All donation are greatly appreciated and no amount is too small!
Operation Christmas Child is a project of Samaritan’s Purse, an international relief organization whose mission is to provide local partners around the world with shoeboxes filled with small toys, hygiene items, and school supplies as a means of reaching out to children in their own communities with the Good News of Jesus Christ. We ship these simple gifts outside the United States to children affected by war, poverty, natural disaster, famine, and disease; and to children living on Native American reservations in the U.S.
2017 was CBC first time doing Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes. The church sent 83 OCC shoeboxes to those in need around the world.
