Everyone is a minister. Jesus said, "I didn't come to be served, but to serve." We follow Jesus and serve the same. We care about EAST COBB and encourage you to join us in serving the city based on your God given interests, gifts, and talents.
The basketball court, playground, volleyball court and soccer field is available for use by anyone in the community until 9pm.
USE AT YOUR OWN RISK!
Guidelines for use are below. Please read all signs before playing.
Our campus also boasts one of the best play ground in East Cobb. The playground includes: six slides, a rock wall, zip line, bridge, multiple ladders, firehouse pole, monkey bars, four swings and a punching bag. We also have three family size picnic tables where parents can sit and rest while they watch their children play.
The Garden of Paint Rocks is a community garden open to anyone who would like a place to plant a garden.
Our business network focuses on good, old fashion networking and tasty, fair-trade coffee. Our meetings involves learning from one another through brief presentations, inspirational leadership advice and ample networking time. We value three things: stewardship (of our God given time, talents & gifts), human dignity (all people were created in God's image and therefore, matter) and joy (we were created for work and work should be fun).
If you live or work in East Cobb, Marietta, and North Fulton, we encourage you to join. This group is for business people interested in finding joy at work and networking in a positive environment.
Our meetings occur at 7:30am, on the second and fourth Tuesdays of the month.
"To love our neighbor by revitalizing impoverished neighborhoods through spiritual and community development"
Through our partnership, CBC is helping make an impact on the tough challenges facing under-resourced neighborhoods: concentrated poverty, failing schools, unsafe streets, deteriorated housing, high unemployment, inadequate health care.
Through Desire Street Ministries, we are coming alongside ministry leaders as partners and ministering to the neighbors they love and serve every day. Through those we serve, we are learning more about God and what it means to be a human created in God's image.
We currently volunteer with a ministry in Atlanta, but hope to partner with other Desire Street Ministry partners in the southeast as our church grows and matures.
Desire Street Ministries has connected CBC to PAWkids, an inner city ministry working to demonstrate Christian principles through providing community support and developmental activities which uphold moral excellence and build self-confidence.
You can get involved by helping CBC provide, prepare & serve a healthy family meal for around 40-50 children & adults, on the third Thursday of the month.
To help children establish an awareness of who they are in relationship to God.
To provide a quality after-school enrichment program in a safe, loving, Christian environment where children can thrive and grow.
To provide families with various resources that will empower and encourage them while promoting Christian values, building stronger communities, and developing self-sufficiency.
