Everyone is a minister at CBCMarietta. We follow Jesus' example & selflessly serve others. We care about EAST COBB & encourage you to join us in serving the city based on your God given interests, gifts, and talents. If you don't know your gifts, we'll help you discover them, provide service opportunities to use them.
Jesus
Serving equips disciples for serve, provides service opportunities, and releases people to serve. We are share Jesus' love in practical ways. This is accomplished through meeting needs in the community and through ministry outreaches. Equipping to service is accomplished through offering trainings and courses which teach servant evangelism and putting our love for others into action.
DEEDS are the service actions CBC takes to love and engage the community in an effort to make the city a better place for everyone. Some of the DEEDS service projects include collecting winter wear for refugees or holding free bike repair clinics to help those who like to ride bicycles save a little money and have a safe bike.
These service projects encourage church members to have spiritual conversations with the unchurched while serving them with no strings attached. The bike clinics are especially good for spiritual conversations because people often ask, “Why are you doing this for free?” The members response is “To share Jesus’ love in a practical way.” This is surprising and intriguing to cyclist who then fully engages in the spiritual conversation because they have never experience Jesus’ love like that before.
East Cobb has no city center. We dream one day our campus will act as a Community Hub, where our members are released to minister to the walkers who visit our quarter mile Prayerwalk, the ballers who shoot on our court, the green thumbs who use the community garden, and the families who play on our playground. We are ready to love you.
The basketball court, playground, volleyball court and soccer field are available for use by anyone in the community until 9pm.
USE AT YOUR OWN RISK!
Guidelines for use are below. Please read all signs before playing.
Our campus also boasts one of the best play grounds in East Cobb. The playground includes: six slides, a rock wall, zip line, bridge, multiple ladders, firehouse pole, monkey bars, four swings and a punching bag. We also have three family size picnic tables where parents can sit and rest while they watch their children play.
The Garden of Painted Rocks is a community garden open to anyone who would appreciate a place to plant a garden. Pastor Scott is a Master Gardener and enjoys practicing organic gardening. He holds gardening seminars and invites the community to adopt a garden box to plant their favorite vegetables.
In 2021, we started RECLAIMING our nearly four-acre property by clearing the fifteen-foot-wide underbrush that had encroached the perimeter fence line. Volunteers from five different churches, the KSU_BCM, and local Boy Scout Troops helped us take back the land resulting in the creation of a quarter mile walking path.
In mid-Feburary of 2022, Pastor Scott began consistently prayer walking the prayer path resulting in him losing seventy pounds and reversing his type 1.5 diabities (LADA).
